This year will be my eleventh year at Hardy School and my tenth year teaching fourth grade! I think fourth graders are the coolest and fourth grade curriculum is awesome. Before becoming a teacher, I attended Boston University where I received a Bachelors of Science in Communication Sciences and worked a variety of crazy jobs. I later received a Masters in Elementary Education from U Mass Boston and a Masters in Special Education from Lesley University.
I grew up in Massachusetts and have lived all over Boston and many of its suburbs. I currently live in Arlington with my husband and two naughty kitties. Don't be surprised if I bump into you when you are out and about town, I’m always on the go and see lots of Hardy students around town.
In my free time I love to cook, watch sports, hang out with friends and family, and read. I always have a giant pile of books next to my bed. I have so many favorite authors and series. I'm also very curious about history, especially local history, and historical fiction. My favorite holiday is Halloween; every year I look forward to dressing up in costume and embracing all things creepy. My favorite color is green, I adore jewelry, and I have a rather large collection accessories.
During the summer, I try to devour as many books as I can since there’s a bit more free time. I like to keep busy since it keeps me out of trouble. This summer I went to Maine several times and spent lots of time in the water. I also moved classrooms over the summer and I'm really excited about our new classroom space. The classroom is nearly ready but awfully quiet and lonely so now I just need a group of creative and excited students to arrive and help me make it our home away from home. I can't wait to meet you on September 5 and learn all about you.
The best way to get in touch with me is usually email. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns that you have.
